Studio Chong is a Vancouver-based architecture practice registered with the Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC).
We work with public institutions and private clients across the Lower Mainland and British Columbia, on projects ranging from feasibility studies and building assessments to renovations, tenant improvements, and new construction. Our current work includes healthcare facility projects for Vancouver Coastal Health, commercial and mixed-use developments, and custom residential projects.
Before founding Studio Chong, our directors practiced at internationally recognized firms across Canada and Asia, bringing large-firm rigour to a studio-scale practice — senior attention on every project, from first study to occupancy.

Team
Chee Yuen Choy, Architect AIBC — Director
Chee is a registered architect in British Columbia with over twenty years of experience in the building industry. Prior to founding Studio Chong, he practiced at firms including OMA, Henning Larsen, Kasian, Cutler, and Yamamoto Architecture, with earlier experience at Kengo Kuma & Associates and Sou Fujimoto Architects, on projects spanning cultural, institutional, commercial, and residential work across Canada and Asia.
His project experience covers the full arc of practice — feasibility, design, construction documents, and contract administration. Chee holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Architectural Science from Toronto Metropolitan University.
Hong Simon Ahn, Architect AIBC — Director
Hong is a registered architect and designer based in British Columbia with nearly twenty years of experience in Canada and Asia. He has practiced at firms including Kengo Kuma & Associates, HDR, Perkins&Will, Diamond Schmitt Architects, Arno Matis Architecture, and MIN Architects, with experience across institutional, civic, and residential projects.
Hong holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Seoul and a post-professional Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto.
Sahej Randhawa — Associate | Project Designer
Born and raised in Squamish, Sahej brings deep local knowledge of the Sea-to-Sky region and a builder’s understanding of Canadian low-rise construction, having grown up in a contracting family and worked in residential project management before moving into design. He is the studio’s point of contact for the Squamish area.
Sahej holds diplomas in Architecture Design & Technology from the Visual College of Art and Design and in Architectural & Building Technology from BCIT.
Ed Wang — Associate | Project Designer
Ed is an interior designer whose work spans hospitality, retail, and residential interiors, with additional background in industrial and fashion design. Raised in a family of established contractors in Taiwan, and having worked closely with contractors delivering projects for major international hotel brands in Canada, he pairs design sensibility with a practical understanding of how buildings get built.
